The Garment District in Manhattan is the center for fashion manufacturing and design.  Having worked and studied here in the past, I loved the hustle and bustle- the insane energy- of this fashion-dense neighborhood.  It’s home to the majority of New York’s showrooms and major fashion labels, so it absolutely makes sense that The Garment District here in Denver is named after this fashion mecca.

 . . .

won 5280 Magazine‘s Top Of The Town 2014 awards, recognized for “Best Place to Shop for Denim” and “Best Men’s Store”.  This was the perfect place to research labels for my Denver Fashion Blog.  What first grabbed my attention when I walked in the front door was the shoes on display!

Slip-On Sneakers by Dr. Scholl’s and Corso Como
Knee-High Boots by Donald Pliner
After much deliberation, I chose these ankle boots below- they’re super cool and have an urban rocker-chic vibe…just the look this age 40+ soccer Mom is desperately trying to pull off.  Plus, they will go with everything in my Fall/Winter wardrobe!
Ankle Boots by Dolce Vita
The Garment District is known for their versatile supply of Denim.  They carry some of my favorite labels- Mother, J.Brand, and Citizen’s of Humanity.  The jeans are efficiently merchandised by brand, style and size- which makes hunting for the perfect fit extremely easy to navigate.  Not to mention, the sales staff is excellent- extremely knowledgable and helpful!  Here, I discovered my new favorite jean!  G-Star Raw!  Cool rinses, details, and fits.

The Garment District is a huge supplier of Michael Stars.  I am obsessed with their eternity scarves. Here is just one ($68) of many I tried on.  They would make the perfect holiday gift!!!
Other labels I covet here are Ted Baker, Clover Canyon, Bailey44, and Joseph Ribkoff.
An Amazing Ted Baker Clutch!  To Die For!
I spotted this buffalo plaid coat and mini dress from Bailey44.  The two dresses I had my eye on were in the same style as below, but with a blk/wht buffalo plaid and green Scottish plaid detail.  Wear this dress with black opaque tights and a pair of brogues!  Throw on a leather biker jacket or relaxed-fit, plush overcoat.  Super cool!

Joseph Ribkoff was also well-represented.  I fell in love with his variety of black capri trousers, and this adorable free-flowing pant.

 Other looks from the designer…

I highly recommend swinging by The Garment District in Denver.  You will leave with a smile on your face, clutching your most covetable purchase!
